Terms & Privacy

When you access this website or use it to obtain divorce services the following terms and conditions apply. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions or if you are under 18 years of age please do not use this website.
1. Since your instructions have not been given to the solicitors at a face to face meeting, the above Regulations apply and by submitting the e-mail instructions to the solicitors you are confirming that you accept and understand these Terms of Business.
2. You have the right to cancel your instructions, without any cost to you, within seven working days of the solicitors receiving the e-mail instructions. You should cancel the agreement by writing to Q&A Law Divorce by post, fax or e-mail.
3. You may not, however, cancel the agreement without incurring any cost once we have, with your permission, started to do the work on your behalf within these first seven days. By submitting the e-mail instructions, you are agreeing that, to avoid delay in the transaction, we may start work on your behalf straightaway and do not have to wait for the cancellation period to expire.
4. Our solicitors will carry out your instructions as efficiently as possible, but the nature of divorce means that they are unlikely to be able to perform the contract within the maximum period of 30 days as laid down by the Regulations. By submitting the e-mail instructions to us you are therefore agreeing that they need not perform the contract within a maximum of 30 days.
5. If you use this website to instruct the solicitors to carry out divorce work for you and they confirm those instructions, a solicitor - client relationship will exist between you subject to the protection afforded by the rules of the Law Society of England and Wales. Such a relationship will not exist until we confirm that we accept your instructions. We are under no obligation to accept your instructions.
6. The legal fees quoted on this site relate to standard divorce work. They do not apply to additional legal work that may be required and we shall be entitled to make additional charges for such work. You will be informed in writing if this is required.
7. Only the fees charged by Q&A Law Divorce are fixed. All other payments to third parties (these payments are known as disbursements) such as court fees, etc may vary.
8. The services available through this website are only available for properties within England and Wales.
9. Subject to the provisions of clause 1 you have the right to cancel your instructions to us at any time. Once your instructions have been confirmed by the solicitors, if you wish to end your instructions you will have to pay the solicitors for the work that they have done up to the date of cancellation together with any disbursements paid by us on your behalf.
10. Your use of this site and this Agreement is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
11. Any queries or complaints relating to this website should be addressed to Q&A Law Divorce, 45 Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 1BJ

We analyse and assess your data to maintain and develop our relationship with you. Your data will be kept for a minimum of 10 years in compliance with the Law society guidelines.

Confidentiality
We are bound by our professional code of conduct which stipulates that there is a strict client/solicitor privilege and any information received regarding your matter is held strictly private and confidential.

We endeavour to use the height of security available to us in order to protect your personal information.

Any personal details that we hold about you are held in strict confidence. We do not sell or give your details to any third parties without your prior consent. Velocity Pay security information
We recognise that security is essential to you during your online transaction. Our payment gateway, Velocity Pay uses state of the art security tools and techniques to ensure that you are protected against online fraud. In reality, your online purchase is more secure that a transaction conducted over the telephone or by fax as your details are encrypted. Once you enter the order process, all of the information that is transferred between you and us is encrypted using SSL encryption. Even if this data could be intercepted over the Internet it would be useless.

When you enter a secure area of our site, on your browser you will notice a picture of a small padlock - this normally appears right at the bottom of the screen. To double check this, you can right click on the page and select 'properties' or 'view frame info' from the list which will tell you whether you are secure or not. Also look out for the sign of a secure web page, which can be identified by the URL (the web site address). A standard page will begin with 'http://'. A secure web page will begin with the URL 'https://' denoting that the merchant is using a secure server for the transaction of data.

All credit card details are encrypted using VelocityPay's 128bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Software. When you establish a secure connection, the downloaded web site sends a digital certificate to your web browser. When the certificate arrives, it contains a public key, which functions as a one-way encryption device. The browser then uses this key to scramble your personal data (Credit Card Information) before sending it over the Internet. Information encrypted with the public key cannot be decrypted without the corresponding private key, which only the merchant has. Without this exclusive, private key, your personal information cannot be read.
